Throughout history, the most powerful transformations happened when unstoppable Movements took hold! Movements have improved life expectancy, normalized education and even released people from the vicious cycle of poverty. But how do movements start? How do you nurture them? How do you maintain their momentum and maximize their impact? The stakes could not be higher when it comes to answering these core questions because the scale of our most complex problems require proportionate resolution that only movements can provide. Through groundbreaking research and thoughtful analysis of past movements, Andréas Andersson has codified invaluable lessons for any leader or ministry whose mission is to transform lives at the scale our world needs today.
Ownership Chain Management (OCM) is central to the long-term growth, viability, and transformational impact of any movement or organization. The term was coined by Andréas Andersson in his doctoral research at Bakke Graduate University. Using the metaphor of a relay race, he described movements as ownership chains in which the baton of ownership is passed on from one link (e.g., a disciple, an organizational level, or a generation) to the next. Multiple successful change-overs result in multiplication and transformation with preserved DNA and accountability.
In other words, OCM denotes the management of the process whereby ownership of various types of material and immaterial resources, which are critical to a phenomenon’s proper functioning, growth, and long-term survival, are transferred from one link in the chain to the next. Andersson has identified six types of critical resources that, together, make up the "baton." Based on the highly effective model used by Jesus of Nazareth to make disciples who make disciples, he has outlined a six-step OCM process aimed at ensuring a smooth and successful transfer of ownership.
The OCM process is a potent catalyst for exponential growth, transformational impact, and long-term sustainability. However, to maximize its effect in Christian movements, 24 key factors should be considered throughout the process. Likewise, when operating in a Western cultural context, Christian movements should strive to undergo 11 paradigm shifts to more effectively reach and impact their communities.
In this book, which is a part of Andréas Andersson's doctoral dissertation project, the new concept of Ownership Chain Management (OCM) is introduced as a catalytic and strategic tool in the movement-building process. The author shows how the OCM process can be tailored to suit the specific conditions of Western Kingdom movements, thereby enabling leaders to optimize their movement’s potential for exponential growth, long-term viability, and holistic community impact. Whether you are a pastor, movement-builder, researcher, or consultant, this academic work will provide you with a unique perspective and toolkit. Learn about:

Pastor; Co-Founder, Urban Life
The importance of the work is first that Dr. Andréas uniquely synthesized a very comprehensive set of movement theory concepts, theological frameworks, and missional and transformational concepts into a model for multiplication. Secondly, it places disciple making and multiplication in organizational management language and thinking. This enables leadership teams and boards who oversee gospel and transformation movements to work methodically on multiplication and have instruments to influence and measure
the outcomes.
Director of Dissertation Research, Bakke Graduate University
Dr. Andersson’s writing is excellent and comprehensive. /…/ I fully endorse the manner in which he summarized and synthesized the perspectives of a variety of worldwide leaders who are developing “Kingdom Movements” in the world today.
Furthermore, I applaud his bibliographic research resulting in 24 key success factors for building Kingdom movements within a Western context and his empirical research that confirmed the importance of these factors.
Based in Sweden, with a big heart for Africa, Andréas' life mission is about developing concepts, training leaders, and building movements for personal and national transformation. He holds a doctorate in transformational leadership and graduated with honors. With 20+ years’ experience of vision- and values-driven leadership and organizational development, he combines consulting work as senior advisor and mentor with serving as a pastor. He is also the founder and leader of two disciple-making movements, ISA60 International and Key Servants Academy. The ISA60 movement has hitherto spread to 14 countries, touching thousands of lives every year, and has been used as a case throughout his doctoral research. To date, he has written and released six books.
